The wedding dinner was held at Singapore Recreation Club aka SRC. It's my 1st time there, when pple tell me that it's near the Padang, I still have no idea where it was. Then it was until we walked there and I saw the logo, suddenly it becomes so familiar.
We were there pretty early like 7.15pm but the actually dinner commenced 1 hr later. Lotsa time to mingle around with relatives and so on. I haven't met my cousins for yrs till the fact that we almost can't recognise each other. Yah, that's a point where my cousin started asking my mom which one is her daughter. That shows how time flies. My cousins were still thinking that I'm schooling and were shocked to know my age even. Maybe I do have a young face. Ahaha!
We were seated in table no. 2, which was very near the stage and is diagonally beside the VIP table. Woo can see the bride so clearly from my seat! I love the outfits she puts on today. I think that all wedding dinner is the same. I always look fwd to see the beautiful in her most beautiful gowns. =)
Was taking pics of the food for the start but halfway, when the fried prawns with oats came, I had forgotten all abt it so subsequently, I gave most dishes a miss. Until the fish came and the waitress remembered that I wanna take pic, so she asked me to do so before she started cutting them. Who knows I didn't on my flash and the pic became blurred. Of cos I won't retake e pic cos my aunt was already complaining when I did that. Everyone was thinking that there's nothing special abt it and I shdn't waste time. My cousins even commented that next time I would have lotsa chance to attend wedding dinner when I reach the age of 25, where the food will look all e same. The chicken, fish, etc. I also know. Just that I thought it would be nice to picture it down. Nowadays pple just love taking pics of food. Sighs... nvm.
The dinner was pretty simple. With the cake-cutting ceremony when the bride and groom went up the stage for the 1st time. Then after a few dishes, they went up again for the champagne pouring. After that, the bride changed into another outfit and it was the wine-toasting ceremony. With that, they went to every table to take pics with professional photographers around.
Actually I thought that it would have been better if they could replay the video they played in the afternoon to show the guests who were not around during the afternoon's solemnisation. Or better still, they can play the video of the solemnisation which would be more interesting. But I guess they probably wanna save time that's why they did away with all these.
Later on, the bride changed until the Chinese traditional Kua. But didn't have the chance to take pic of it. If I have a chance next time, I wish I could wear that too!
During the dinner, was pretty entertained by my cousin's very cute 2 and 1/2 yrs daughter. When the 1st cold dish was served, they played loud music with disco spotlight flashing everywhere and she was dancing away with her hands lifted up with the rhythm. So cute!! Kids are so smart nowadays and they have so many "why" qns to ask. She will even ask what is the toothpick for. OMG. and u gotta explain to her and she will nod as though she really understands. There was once when the prawns with oat were served and there's lemon water in a bowl and when we started using, she also asked what was that. Then my aunt was explaining to her that it's for us to clean our oily hands. She questioned - "why no soap?". haha... smart and curious... whatever u call it... most kids are like this now =)
Yah... the wedding dinner lasted until 11 plus. Hopefully, I will get the pictures of the group photos they took per table soon! In fact, if there's soft copy, it would even be better.
Here's wishing them the 2 wonderful pple a lifetime of happiness! Congrats!! :D
