Wahaha... we continued to pamper ourselves on the 2nd day of our trip. We agreed to wake up at 8.30am despite turning in late the night before. we went back to the jazucci and steam bath. cynthia taught us to use conditioner and leave it on our hair and go to the steam bath room, like doing treatment. e pressure of e jacuzzi sure helps to relax our tense shoulders. we dun get to enjoy such tai-tai life everyday and we were indulging every bit of it! =D
Took such pics of us in e hotel before checking out of e hotel. Next we took e train to Tsim Sha Tsui and walked quite a long distance to our next hotel in Kowloon, Royal Plaza hotel. A pretty nice hotel that many would recommend, it's so near Fa Yuen Street or the famous Women Street. Hmm... we should have took the train to Mong Kok East instead. Then we wouldn't be dragging our luggage and walking so far. But thank God we didn't have that much stuffs to carry around too.
Same thing here, we went to check in and they told us that the room was not ready again. We left our luggage bags with them and off for lunch and more shopping to come.
We had very nice Fish Egg noodle for lunch. We love their big serving of ice lemon tea too. 2nd time in HKG but 1st time in Fa Yuen street (literally known as Garden street in Chinese). hmm... we didn't really bargain cos it's e Summer Sales period, everything is going cheap! We were aiming for most stuffs ranging from HKG$49 onwards, not exceeding HKG$90.
As recommended by Linda, there's a shop called Jing (Mirror). There's dresses and blouses in mostly black at 1 glance. Think if u are looking for clothes for work, this is definitely a nice shop to go to. I've gotten around 4 items from there, costing HK$49 each which I know I should have gotten MORE than this. Converted to Sing dollars, it's like $9 for a dress or a decent blouse, wow... where to get this in SG! The standard of the clothes are like those selling in RED. in fact, there were 2 same shops in the street but we only found one. Ahhh... Linda was saying that they were selling similar but different designs as well. OMG... missed out on such a gd deal. Somemore everyday they will bring in different stocks except Mon if I'm not wrong. So if u happen go there on weekly or monthly basis, u will sure have lots to buy.
We continued walking and walking, shopping non-stop until our legs couldn't take it and we went to have chee cheong fun and tau huay. Disappointment! e sauce is not what we like, too bland and we need to add e sauce on our own. Aiyooz.. nth like e nice chee cheong fun I have yrs ago. Think it's their in-house type. Not tasty.
After going ard a few more shops, we decided to go back hotel to put down our shopping bags and take pics of our 'zhan li ping' and TRY them out in case they doesn't fit on us. WOW.. it's GREAT fun! there's some that we couldn't wear and we even could exchange them bcos it looks better on another person; hence we dun even have to go back to the shop to change for other sizes. lolx...
we took many decent n siao pix also.. went out to comb more streets and found that every shop is almost selling e same clothes, similar styles. told them that if i'm still schooling, prolly i would buy them.... cos i dun really want too many casual clothing anymore.. save $$.
we were too excited than feeling hungry that we intended to skip dinner at 1st, but gave up that idea after continuous walking. went into the restaurant and wanted to 'fried fish head bee hoon' but changed to 'fried fish slice bee hoon' instead. AIYO... luckily i never tell the waitress that i wanted to change bcos i wanna avoid the bones.. bcos their fried fish is e normal 'yu bing' (directly translated as 'fish biscuit'). Faints. LOL. my frens also ordered the same food as me.
went to shop at Nu Ren Jie (Women Street) at 10plus, heard that they were gg to close soon but hey, we were pretty lucky.. e shops were still open. last min shopping... and took more crazy photos in hotel after which. bought a very nice mango pudding back to hotel to enjoy as supper. woo.
haha.. this time, we didn't ask for extra bed. we managed to put the 2 twin bed together and 3 of us squeezed together in e cosy bed and had beauty slp.
next morning, before checking out, we went out to have bo lo bun n ovatine! a gd breakfast to start off e day. we went for another last min shopping again. wahaha.. cyn gotten herself a super worth for money wallet and i bought myself another top too. chenglan also bought a bag. cyn actually bought a blouse for e wrong size e night before and we managed to find e shop and exchanged for smth else. we were only trying our luck but it's really the right time, right place! =))
checked out and headed to the airport. had to go thru e long, long journey after taking train... much longer than going to take e NEL from the EW line at Dhoby Ghaut. abit of shoulder ache as we dragged e luggage with us. we were looking for e train and 'by luck', we got ourselves into a FIRST CLASS cabin. WOO.. so lucky.
had Popeye Chicken for lunch with our leftover 'ah gong $$'. i dunno why they use this name but it's cute anyway. it's like contributing $ and combining together and one person will just settle each meal's $. can u imagine that we still have $$ left after buying our 2nd round of meal?!
hahaa... somehow, i seemed to love Cathay even though the air stewardess look so-so only. not much of a eye candy this time. the food on board is tasty. i've managed to finish e whole set of potato chicken despite having lunch earlier. e flight coming back is so smooth, even the landing part is gd. no major turbulence at all, we were extremely blessed for e whole trip!
** we were really happy with e great buys we gotten. though coming back to SG, i counted and only have like less than 15 pieces of new clothing, i'm still very satisfied with this trip.. 3d2n is a short trip and what i gained are closer friendship and great time spent! woo~
we came back office e next day and everyone could see our joy on our face! we were literally smiling all day. what a recharged trip indeed! **
