NCC service @ Singapore Indoor Stadium (SIS)
, 12:47 AM

Very anointing message that Pastor Prince preached on. It's about restoration that got me really excited about. It's such a great time to be listening to God's words, to be filled with his love all over e stadium. It's my very 1st time going to SIS for a combined service like this. Think it's bcos of the road closure for the F1 race, that's why they booked e place for us. If not, then it's gotta do with the Mid-Autumn festival celebration. Either way, I am very fortunate to be attending this service with Cynthia!

It's my 1st time gg to Boon Keng as well. This round they provided the shuttle bus service there and we had lunch at Boon Keng's market prior to travelling to SIS. We were among the earliest batch to reach at 1.30pm when the svc only commence at 2.30pm. So we gotten the best seats as well. Felt so privileged to be seated in those violet velvet chairs like getting e most expensive seats for a concert!

We started off playing some games. Like the NDP celebration, they have e Kallang wave, while we have the NCC wave and heave. It's so fun to be participate as a church. We also played a basketball game just that this one is those big inflated balls that look like giant pumpkins. We would divided into 2 grps - Team A and Team 2 playing against each other. Whoever get lesser no. of basketballs WINs. In e end, the balls all went to the center and everyone in e center were trying the best to get rid of the ball to the other side. Still, the other team won it. Haha, pretty entertaining pre-service games.

They even came up with a funny F1 theme mini performance. We also gotta watch a drum performance which they performed yesterday at the Mid-Autumn festival celebration event.

The praising and worship was awesome!! I think many of them were touched by the songs and lyrics and the pple ard me seems to be tearing at some point. I love e song "Shout Your Praise" soooo much! The feel is so different when u get to sing those songs at e SIS. It's really cool and you gotta try it and u will get what I mean. =)

As for e sermons, I benefit a lot from it. The stories that were shared abt restoration etc. Something that I can apply it to my life. When you lose something impt in ur life, fear not. As a believer, we have not lose everything. In fact, we will gain much more than b4. If we lose a relationship or have a previous bad marriage, we will have someone who will come into our life, which is much better. God has the power to restore it and it's not just restoring it to the original but could be 7-folds better. It may not be having e same person coming back to your life but through other channel.

Receive it and receive it with grace. Have faith and keep believing. Amen!

Holy Grail Party & Dinner @ T3
Saturday, September 26, 2009, 11:59 PM

Attended the Holy Grail Party event organised by CozyCot which features the latest in beauty, makeup, skincare and fashion! It's my 1st time attending CozyCot's event. Pretty excited!

There's many participating merchandisers which includes Shu Uemura, Loreal, Kose, SK II. There's many booths selling facial and cosmetic products like ZA prdts, O2 prdts. Not only that, there's booths selling food products like Soyjoy. There's also financial talks, bridal wedding booth and there's even diploma courses as a wedding planner or in the professional nail industry.

What really attracts me is facial package from Babelicious. Signed up for the trial session with Jean. Think it's time to switch over to something within our budget! Spent $76 initially and topped up with e masks which I shared with Jean and paid $88.80 in total at this booth. Each of us has gotten a travel size Sothy's morning cleanser and hydra matte fluid that comes with a bright orange pouch.

Bought L'OREAL's Derma Genesis Pore Minimising Smoother which acts like a mosturiser and also L'OREAL's Elixir Concentrate Ultra Make-up Remover for waterproof and long-wear make up. It's much cheaper than market price and for the pore minimiser, we can only get this these 2 days at only $29.90 and this new product will only be officially sold outside in November. Happy to get it "first hand". Spent above $40 and freebies again! Love the pink makeup bag, a limited edition mirror set, a lip gloss! =)

Applied for a lifetime Watsons membership at only $5. Can get a chance to play the sure-win spin wheel. Hahaha.. so lucky to spin to the green tab and I won myself a Nivea's slimming & reshaping gel-cream which is worth $45. Didn't give my fren cos i know i have tummy and fatty thighs that I can apply too. Haha.. Together with the membership, there's a deck of vouchers to be used at Watsons too. Very worth it =)

There's lots of offers and many gd deals to grab. Upon entrance, we were given a goodie bag each. What's more! If u spend $20, u get a chance for the lucky draw. If u spend $100 or more, u can get a Cozycot goodie bag. If u spend $200 on citibank card, u can get a Citibank goodie bag!

Jean and I had gotten e Cozycot goodie bag each. So full of freebies like shower gel, Stage's nail polish, Dove's conditioner, Dove's hair mask, etc etc! We were amazed by the no. of items and it's getting heavier as we walked ard with it.

After which, we went to attend e talk on e diploma of wedding planner. It's kinda exp for e course like 9k but with bursary etc, it will come up to 4k+ if i'm not wrong. For those who finds that taking up a diploma is expensive, they have also offer a course for wedding planning which will be given by e speaker himself. If we sign up today, e course will be $500 (UP $750). Hmmm... after all, it's really where ur interest lies.

Another thing that got me interested in was the dance classes offered by Studio Wu! The lady was demonstrating some of the steps of the Girls' hip hop, very nice shake and I totally love it. The timing for the beginner's classes for the Girl's hiphop is 6.30 pm on a weekday. Not sure if I can make it in time after work. I dunno if i'm able to keep up with the fast beat but I'm kinda excited to join. Received e complimentary voucher so I can try it out. Kinda waiting for Jean and Jas to nod their head to go with me for e trial session. Was happy to get freebies from e booth too! The shiny silvery pouch and dinner bag!

Towards the end of the event, there was a Makeup Show by Shu Uemura and announcement of The Beauty Art Competition 2009 - Novice Winner. Presented by Sophia Chia (Elite Makeup Artist), with Kim as the face model and the professional makeup artist which is professionally trained in Japan. Teaching us very useful make up tips through live demonstration on stage. We were taught to apply the eye makeup first, before drawing our eyebrow. In this way, the eyebrow makeup will not be smudged. We were also taught on how to apply mascara and the way to hold the mascara to apply on the upper and lower eyelid. This event attracted many people and all the seats were filled up with those who registered earlier on.

Jean won e hourly lucky draw towards the end of the event. So lucky. Amazed that we could stay there for more than 3hrs and we left EXPO at 6pm where e event was ending too.

Suggested to have dinner @ Changi Airport. Great that they agreed cos I dun feel like gg to Pasir Ris or Tampines at all. LOL. Changi Airport T3's atmosphere is so much better. We decided to have dinner at Earle Swensen. An expensive dining place indeed. We chose to order the cheaper main course and each of us were entitled for the freeflow serving at the salad bar. We ended up so full having eating 80% of the food and had to cancel our ice-cream order made earlier on. Left for home with bloated stomachs.

Fruitful day~ thanks all =)

Reebok Pink Ribbon Walk 2009
Friday, September 25, 2009, 11:59 PM

Will be participating for the Pink Ribbon 5km Walk as stated above.

Keith and Jas' brother will be participating the walk with me. Went to collect the goodie bag and the pink tee shirt today after work with Keith. The pinky tees looks pretty nice. I like. Will be anticipating the event which is happening real soon.

Aiyo must comment on something here. If I can change my I/C photo, I think I would do it right away. Showed my I/C to the staff in charge of the goodie bag collection. Faint lorz.. he asked if the I/C belongs to me or Keith. When I said it's mine, he's apologising profusely like saying 4 times of sorry to me. Making me so paiseh when my fren kept laughing at me. Nvm.. I got my sweet revenge too. I asked e staff if there's alot of guys participating for the walk and he returned a very honest ans: nope, there's less than 10% of guys participating. There I was, laughing back at him. *evil grins* hahaha

After collection of e teeshirt and goodie bag with lotsa vouchers *hee*, met up with Jas & WX to have dinner at Orchard Central. Not much dining places to choose from.. think it's bcos the basement is not fully open. Since there's not much choices, we decided to go Mos burger for dinner.

The shopping mall somehow reminds us of Changi Airport if u look at the concept and layout of the shopping mall esp. at the couches and settings of the place. Pretty spacious and relaxing place. But abit quiet, wonder how's e biz going to be like for the mths to come cos it's too new to judge now.

Hot Yoga session!
Thursday, September 24, 2009, 11:59 PM

Jean & I were discussing on where to sign up for a yoga class bcos i wanted to have an activity where i can keep my sundays busy. hmm... i've come across this webbie which says that we can sign up for a yr's membership to have access to 3 of their studios and can enjoy all the classes - be it yoga, pilate, etc. Have to sign up with a fren to enjoy the 50% disc promotion which is like $1475 (UP $2.3K+) a year. Come to think of it, it's quite exp!

Gd thing that Jean spotted a page on e webbie that says that new students can go for a trial yoga session at only $17 (UP $34) if we email them for e 50% disc voucher. So i took e initiative and sent the email. very promptly I received e voucher and I booked for e session.

It's a hot yoga session at 8pm where we were instructed not to eat anything 2 hrs before session but to drink lots of water b4 e session. Mats and towels were all provided. The gd side of it. Dun have to purchase anything to get started. Can just come in teeshirt/sleeveless shirt and shorts/tights. Something comfy. Can be barefooted, so no shoes required too.

We had San Lai as our instructor (pic above). She's a very nice lady with a great figure, e advantage of taking up yoga and getting to practise all e time. Smth that keeps us motivated! haha..

The room temp is ard 40 degrees celsius. I think i can take e temp pretty well... but really sweated profusely after doing a few postures. there's 26 postures to be completed within the 90mins session. wah.. can see that i've not been exercising for a long time, my thigh muscles were aching so much when i tried to pull myself and stretched. learnt some breathing technique from there. still learning how to focus at one point and to stay balance in a certain position. e friendly instructor knew that Jean and I were there for e 1st time, she made extra effort by placing her attn on us too. I find that the whole session was great!

Think not many pple can take hot yoga, for me i'm okay with e heat and felt gd after sweating it out! But this doesn't apply to Jean. She was complaining to me that she felt a little giddy and uncomfortable during the session. This doesn't stop her from trying out the normal yoga next time. Way to go, gal! We are going to look for cheaper alternatives and i hope we can stay motivated.

Hahaha.. it's nice trying on new things once again. the money spent is worth it. =)

e above pic was taken during e Bukit Timah CC Youth BGM event itself on the boat towards Kusu Island. I've not blogged abt it and this applies for the Army Openhouse happening on the same day too! Dun think i will blog abt it anyway. laziness has taken over me! hahaha..

it's taken on 6 Sep, quite some time back yeah... sometimes, time flies when u look back at certain events like this, or even upcoming events that u are not even aware that it's gg to take place anytime. like e 5km walk that i've participated in, it's happening on next Sat and i've yet to step into the gym to practise. luckily it's just a walk and not a run! but if u are talking abt time passing on a hour by hour OR day by day basis, sometimes it can be really draggy!! like yest, i heard my colleagues saying, huh.. it's only 3pm... and in my mind, i'm thinking of e same thing... it seems like a long day has passed, how come it's only 3pm.

i've just weighed myself. e result is horrendous! urgh.. haha... i'm gonna starting feeding myself well, like a baby. and to start off with everything, i need to have a great and positive mindset. so that emotionally and mentally, i'm being well-fed too!

Updates...
Tuesday, September 22, 2009, 10:06 PM

This saying is very true: "if a problem has no solution, it may not be a problem, but a fact not to be solved but to be coped with over time". after what happened last Fri, i know that this time will be e last straw. i'm finally able to convince myself to face e reality. Congrats to Lis, who has finally walked out of this!

Something embarrassing happened today. my colleague was asking me abt hp stuffs which i dun really know e ans so we thought she might just ask him. i managed to call him and i told him i'll be transferring the call to margaret.. who knows i accidentally punch another extension and another colleague picked up. it's all too late. i was like oh gosh! and i quickly called my colleague and told her that i trsf e call wrongly to her. called him back and he's like, "hey! u trsf the call wrongly to XX". being v sian alr, this round i make sure i trsf e call to the right person. i'm not that worried if he just tell my other colleague that he got the wrong no. but bcos i knew he would be saying stupid or funny stuff thinking that e person on e other line was margaret.. that's why i was so kan cheong!! then like wad i've guessed, I'm absolutely right! e moment i put the call thru, he straightaway said "this is e police station" and only realised that e person's voice doesn't sound like margaret. *double faints* HENG i nvr trsf the call to some managers or what... if NOT, i can't imagine what will happen. thank God!

Just now morning, my mom killed a cockroach which was right behind me after i finished brushing my teeth... knowing my pattern, i would scream and yell like nobody's biz if i see a xiao qiang, she never alert me and did it silently like i heard e slapping sound of e slipper on the ground. a clean job done bcos she quickly covered it with a cloth and i didn't see to see e cockroach at all.

i have this neighbour of mine who wake up early like 7 plus each day and she'll sit just outside e hse with her grandson. usually when i'm getting ready for work, i'll hear her loud and hoarse voice. be it shouting at e kid or singing some songs like Hong Cai Mei Mei at the top of her voice or whatsoever, really irritates e hell of me! even when i choose to slp in late during wkends, i can hear her voice super clearly! can't she just do e job INSIDE e hse, must she put the kid outside and keep disturbing everybody's peace?! honestly speaking, i dun even find e kid's crying annoying, but her grandma's voice is horrendous. if i have a croak voice like hers, i won't even be singing! teach me how to show grace to show pple? then i will have another neighbour from e same family, smoking outside e hse. gd that they dun want their family to breathe in secondhand smoke, but we are directly breathing e smoke when he's doing it outside his hse. can't stand such pple.

Due to inhouse training tmro morning, im gg to have breakfast at home. normally i'll only drink a cup of honey/milo at home and have my packed breakfast in e office but dun think i'll have e time tmro to slowly munch my food. in any case, i'll have to wake up earlier to prepare myself.

As usual, we chatted and shared alot abt our recent happenings, etc. Have endless topics... but bcos the next day is a working day, we can't afford to go on further. Decided to continue again when we meet up e next time.

Baby Princess Baby Shower! 20092009
Sunday, September 20, 2009, 11:59 PM

Met up with Jean and Edwina @ Edwina's place to do up the photo deco for our princess Hui Ting! It's really nice that Ed has so many creative ideas as to how to go abt decorating it while Jean was always ok with our suggestions. Ed and I developed a different photo each and we tot it would be a gd idea to use both for the deco. Did some trial and errors putting together the flower petals, getting the right colour combination and matching the overall colour tone. We were rather satisfied with the masterpiece which we thought was perfect.

Headed for lunch at JE before meeting Jas^gal at JE interchange. She knew e direction to Sis' hse much better than anyone of us and for me, i really have a poor sense of direction, if u ask me to go again, i already forgotten how to go. I've went there like 3 times but still very lost.

It's very nice to see my God daughter once again! Such a nice gal to have. She's looking at us with her eyes widely opened. Seems like she's anticipating us to come. Haha~ Maybe! Sis just breastfeeded her awhile ago b4 we arrived but the bb gurl got hungry again cos she didn't drink much earlier on. Shy Sis told us to wait outside e living room while she's breastfeeding the baby.

We were busy entertaining ourselves outside, chatting with Kor and his brother. After 10 mins or so, dear Sis suddenly ran out from her room and showed us e photo deco we did for Huiting and she was so touched that she teared with joy! We were glad to see her reaction bcos we knew she loves what we did. That explains our satisfaction.

Here's what we gave them for e baby shower:

1) Ed, Jean and I: DIY photos decoration
2) D, Ed, Jean and I: $200 worth of mothercare voucher
3) Shu Hui: DIY hamper which consists of beanie baby pillow, diapers, cottons, clip-on fan for baby cot, pinky mittens and booties, bottles of chicken essences, chocolates, etc etc. A card for e baby too. Really totful!
4) Jas^gal and Robin: Poohbear pinky set of baby stuffs like clothings, mittens, booties, etc. CUTE!
5) Ruth & SG: Diaper and cottons
6) Jeffrey: Angbao

We even acc Sis for a gd hair wash and hair trimming session after our baby's feed. According to her, her bb will have her next feed 2 hrs later... so we grabbed e time and brought her to the salon. Feeling fresh and all, i'm sure it will help to improve her mood too. She deserves a gd pampering after 1 mth of confinement. She said she has craving for Macs and yes, there's our dinner for e day too. Coincident thing is that that time during her ROM, we had Macs too =D

Soon, Sis had to rush back home to take care of her bb. Wow, can see e bonding btw her and e bb, she's v attached to her and we had a hard time to psycho to come out with us. Yeah, can see that i'm super not ready to start a family, i can't afford to be tied down with a bb like this. no way until i've enjoyed enough. being single is gd!

Ed, Jean and I went to Jurong Pt for more shopping after dinner. Rushed down at 8 plus and we have less than 2 hrs to shop. Pretty rushed but still fun! =D

YAy!
Saturday, September 19, 2009, 9:26 PM

Tried ear candling and face threading today. Ear candling is gd bcos it removes excessive earwax build up and helps in lymph circulation. Signed a package of 8 times which includes today's session for $380. 7 more sessions to go. Slowly since there's no expiry date for the package. It's at Marine Parade, so far away. Think I will only go for e ear candling session the next time when there's a cycling trip =P

Face threading was recommended by them cos they can see that I have too much facial hair (since young). In e past, pple normally do it before getting married. But now it's no longer the case. They also recommend pple to sign up packages cos according to her, the more times u do, it will also help to reduce e facial hair. The face is much smoother after e threading. Just that my skin is quite allergic, it's reddish and itchy after that but luckily it lasted for less than an hr. Was so worried that it will last till tmro. How to meet my frens like that?! =P

I find that for myself, if I'm feeling down, I won't prefer to stay at home. I would rather go out. Gd thing that my mom suggest to go Parkway Parade. As it's a Sat, it's rather packed. That's what I love! A place full of shoppers and crowd!

Have Ginseng Mini Steamboat for dinner. Mom is right, if u wanna eat this, must have patience. Took so long for the soup to boil. Luckily we were not extremely hungry. Ate halfway, the flame was gone. Gotta look for e person to restart the fire. Took quite awhile for e soup to boil again. Then you gotta wait awhile before eating or else u will end up getting a burnt tongue.

P/S Gotta save up after spending a bomb. No shopping for a while. Still owe my bff $ for e iPhone. Looks like I need to earn more to cover up what i've spent and start saving up again.

Saturday, September 12, 2009, 11:59 PM

Met Keith @ 2pm for to go Comex 09. We both woke up late and didn't even have lunch at home & so we went for lunch 1st. Went back to Comex at 3 plus but nothing really catch my eyes. for him, he already gotten his Canon camera yest which was really cool. The big lens type of camera, didn't know that he's into photography! Haha... next time go anywhere just ask him to bring.

Intended to go GenRev with Cynthia but she couldn't make it in e end. instead, i got Keith to go with me. We weren't really in e mood to continue squeezing in e crowd and we decided to go to the Rock. Since it's early we went to the arcade 1st. Bumped into Jas & robin, didn't expect to see them so soon. Earlier on, they were having great fun 'grabbing' e stuff toy for each other. He got the medium-sized Me-to-U bear with a heart full of meaningful I-love-you msg, while she got him an Elmo! =D

After awhile, we went up together for GenRev service. It's gd to see e familiar faces again. e worship session was awesome. Pastor Benjamin was really humorous during e preaching that made all of us laughed. It's a really gd session that revolves around the topic, love. I was at the right place and right time, listening to the right things.

We all learnt 2 impt words in a relationship, which are "Thank you" and "Sorry".

Gratitude gives appreciation, familiarity would mean depreciating a person. For a relationship to go on, don't let familiarity set in. Comparison comes in when there is familiarity and you will take your partner for granted. Hence, the best way is to be grateful to your partner by saying "Thank You".

In James 4:6, we understand that God gives grace to the humble. What's e point of winning the debate when there is hurt caused? Saying "sorry" would bring healing to a relationship.

I love this verse that was shared during the session: -
Ephesians 4:29 - Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary *edification that it may impart grace to the hearers.

*Edification here means build up your relationship via your words.

Pastor Benjamin also shared with us abt his 3rd childbirth last sun. It's a supernatural and spectacular delivery! He delivered his own baby at home. It's really like WOW! no knowledge of delivery a baby but everything just comes naturally. everything comes so fast that when he saw e baby's head, he just knew that he gotta deliver it. it's just so amazing!!

Every time, I will have e same peaceful feeling when I attend service. Thank Lord for feeding me with God's words which I really need it.

Keith left slightly earlier b4 service ends bcos he had to rush to have dinner and watch e concert, Jump, at Esplanade after that. I joined Jas' CG for dinner thereafter. The CG leader, George, still remembers me. After dinner, they suggested going Mind Cafe to play games but Jas & Robin couldn't go since Robin has to wake up early for work tmro. I didn't join them too. Think it will take me some time to warm up. My introvert character is very obvious here =P Hope I can be more open up and be ready to join them next Fri.

P/S Thanks Jas & Robin for being supportive. Everything is God's send.
